Big Brother Cooper

Cooper is loving life as a big brother. It's taken some work to help him understand that he needs to be very gentle with Dane but he is finally getting it. Cooper is so sweet with Dane, he wants to wear matching jammies every night, always puts extra blankies on him, wants to "hug" him all of the time and gets really excited whenever he notices that Dane is awake and has his eyes open. Sometimes Cooper gets upset when other people besides Mommy & Daddy hold Dane, I am so happy that Cooper loves being a big brother and it makes me so excited for the fun years ahead of us.

Whenever Cooper and Dane are on my lap together Cooper says to me "your two boys mommy" he loves it.

This last picture is from today when I was tucking Cooper in for his nap. It had been a really long morning, Cooper had been cranky and Dane was really fussy all night and morning, I was exhausted and didn't know how I was going to make it through the rest of the day. When I tucked Cooper in he was so cute he wanted Dane to lay by him in his bed while I sang to them, and he asked me to help him say a prayer, then when I was about to leave he started begging me to leave Dane in there with him. What a cutie, it's moments like these that make everything we do as parents worth it. I sure do love these two boys.
