Trick-or-Treat

Dane's First Halloween!
Super Cousins!

Cooper got tired of waiting, & decided to let himself in.

Super Cooper was totally pooped by the time we got home.
Our brother-in-law Jordan's parents live in a very nice neighborhood, and that's where we went trick-or-treating this year, hence all the good stuff. We even got to meet Mr. & Mrs. Winchell, the donut people, they were so nice!
Thanks for inviting us to go with you Jordan & Janel!

"Pumpkin Patch"

The day before Halloween we went to what Las Vegas calls a "pumpkin patch." Cooper went on a couple of rides and had lots of fun, it was just a lot different than the pumpkin patches we are used to going to in Utah. The ones here are just vacant lots where they have a bunch of pumpkins & rides set up, in Utah they are actual farms. We left with two very overpriced pumpkins for Cooper & Dane, we paid almost as much for those two pumpkins as we paid last year for a whole wheelbarrow full of pumpkins in Utah.
They weren't really cooperating

"What happened to Cooper's head?" you ask
He fell off of the counter in our kitchen.

Two Cute Super Heroes!

Last night was our ward trunk-or-treat.
Cooper & Dane looked so cute!

Cooper LOVES his "Super Cooper" costume.
Dane can fly

Mason's mom made Cooper and a few of his cousins capes for Halloween. I made a rocket to put on his cape and shirt. His costume turned out so cute I couldn't resist making a matching costume for Dane. So I made Dane's cape & stuff yesterday, I wanted to make one for Mason & me but ran out of time.
Cooper absolutely loves his costume, he wears his cape everywhere we go and was heartbroken when we didn't let him wear it to church today. He runs around all day saying "I'm here to save the day!" Yesterday Mason told Cooper a story about a girl stuck on top of a building and Super Cooper rescues her and she gives him a hug (Cooper joined in and said "and a kiss") Cooper has told us the story a couple of times now and he told Grammy on the phone, and every time he tells it he says "the girl gave Super Cooper a hug and a kiss" Yikes... he's not even 3 yet!

We Love You Omi!

I can't believe it's been one year since my Omi passed away. I miss her so much! I am so grateful to know that she will hug me again and we will be together someday.
To remember Omi, I did what she would do if she were here with us, I made German Pancakes. They were yummy, but not nearly as good as when Omi would make them for us.
Cooper & Daddy gobbled them up.
Dane had his first German Pancake.
I blended it up for him with applesauce.
He loved it!
It must have made Dane's spirit happy because he slept the best he has in months!

We Love You So Much Omi!!!

Half-Birthday

Last weekend we went to the Duff's new Cedar City house it was so nice to get out of town and relax while watching general conference. Mason's parents were there and so were the Carters for part of the time. While we were there Dane turned 6 months old!!! I can't believe it, the time has seriously flown by! October 3rd, 2009: Dane's Half-Birthday
I can't believe how active Dane is all of a sudden.
He is scooting all over the place.
One minute he's here, the next he's gone.
I can already tell that Dane is going to be a lot like his older brother.

Playing in the unfinished basement.

Dane and his cousin Ben.
Ben & his cute twin sister Lia are 3 weeks older than Dane.
Dane already loves President Monson.
He was very reverent for all of general conference....NOT!

The Adventuredome at Circus Circus

Warren, Heather & Parker invited us to go to the Adventuredome with them a couple of weeks ago. It was a blast! Cooper & Parker were such fun boys and went on all of the rides that they were tall enough for. Cooper absolutely LOVED it, and didn't want to leave.

STUDS

Dane had fun just looking at everything that was going on.

Look at what my sister did...

If you have a weak stomach you should probably look away.

Wednesday night my sister Jennalise was at a church activity and jumped up and hit the top of a door frame with her hand, her CTR ring got caught on a screw poking out and ripped her finger off. I asked her yesterday how bad it hurt when it happened, she said "it didn't hurt" now that is a tough girl! She was in surgery for over 6 hours that night, they managed to sew the pieces back together (one big piece was found in the garbage can at the church, someone threw it away thinking it was a fake finger) and as long as it doesn't get infected she will get to keep her finger. The surgeon was only able to repair one of the 2 nerves that were ruined, but at least she will have a finger!
